HORSE TRADER definition: ANY person who buys and sells horses on a regular basis and pays bills, whether that be personal or farm costs. Horse traders provide a much needed service in the horse industry. If it weren't for traders, the kill buyers would get allot more of them or they would end up starving or worse. Its the individual trader that should be up for analysis on how they conduct their business, NOT the trader as a whole. But do beware of dishonest traders just out for profit at any cost. Rule of thumb when buying from a trader-IF THEY WON'T LET YOU TAKE THE HORSE HOME, HAVE A VET CHECK IT, AND TRY IT OUT FOR A FEW DAYS BEFORE PURCHASE-THERE IS USUALLY A REASON!

As everyone in the horse business knows,(or SHOULD KNOW) the over abundance of horses is becoming more and more evident with slower sales, less baby purchases and more rescues. This does directly tie in with the new slaughter laws in the USA and the people out there breeding without regard or purpose. Due to this factor, I believe it is my responsibility to breed less babies and concentrate more on "second chance" horses that I buy from auctions or get referred to me. Although I will not quit standing my sires, or breeding a very few babies each year, I have decided to downsize even further in 2009.

ABOUT OUR SALE HORSES. We get our sale horses many ways. Many are rescues obtained through slaughter buyers, auctions or humane society referral. We rehab them, train them and place them in new homes either with an adoption fee (Under $1000) or a sale price. (over $1000). Feeding and caring for horses is not free for us, so we can't just give horses away and expect hay and free vets to fall from the sky. I am completely honest about where and how each horse has come to live with us. Some horses are obtained through private parties who have seen our work and placed horses with us in good trust of getting them good homes. Still others yet are product of divorce, death, misplacement or simply trade ins for a more expensive show horse. Last but not least, some of these horses have been consigned to our farm for sale. All on contract. Although we wish we could run a non-profit organization, I think most realistic people know how expensive horses can be and how most of us don't have the means nor luxury to work without getting paid. We stand behind every horse we sell, and are completely honest about their past, present and hopeful future. GOOD or BAD. This is also the reason we can sell most of our horses for very cheap prices. We usually don't have to pay much for them, so we can pass on savings up and above rehab costs and training. We all work real jobs to support our families. You are welcome to have your horse vet checked at your expense, and it is encouraged. We will disclose ANY condition we feel on each horse that may make it fail its exam.

RETURN POLICY: We only give money back guarantees for 10 days and only if it is on contract prior to sale. The horses that are priced under $1000 are usually sold "as is" because of age or training level. (exceptions apply) Once a horse is sold, its money is spent on all the bills to run this farm and we can't afford to refund past the 10 day limit. BUT, at ANY time if a horse you buy here doesn't work out, even a year later, if it is still sound and healthy, we will give you your FULL purchase price back for that horse as a TRADE in for another, or help you sell it to another home.
